He was also the last known living man born in the 19th century.

It is totally depend on the people itself, to be able to have and last long life, healthy living would be the answer. But then, despite of these secrets all people will die actually it's human nature. The causes that people die would be in natural causes, some of them have diseases, some of them got killed, some of them was in accidents and most of the time because of the people itself.
